time to get packing

For Thanksgiving this year my sister and I have decided that we would love to spend this holiday in Orlando with our family.  With both of us no longer living in Florida it is hard to have holidays with our family.  The last time that I can remember having Thanksgiving with my grandparents since Birdie was 9 months old and she is now 10.  So we rented a house and are going to just relax and make some great memories.  So for the past week we have been getting things put together and of course I had to take pictures of that process.  I will hopefully be blogging along the way.  I am really looking forward to this trip and all the pictures that I am going to get to take of everyone.  So here is a few pics to get started with this trip.

Flashback..... My marathon finally arrived 9-25-2010

On September 25th was not only my marathon it was also our 5 year anniversary of living in TN and what better way to celebrate than to do a marathon.  Okay that was not the reason behind the marathon but hey why not.  This marathon was a big talk in our house there where times when I wanted to quit and not go.  I was affraid I was not going to survive the walk, or even be able to keep up the required pace to stay in the marathon.  When signing up for this marathon I signed up with some ladies at the kids school and we were going to do it together.  Well towards the end of training about a week away from the marathon I realized that wether these women showed up to do this marathon with me, I was going to have to finsh this marathon by myself.  After all I was the only that could make myself cross the finish line no matter who was there or who wasn't.  So the morning of the marathon I got up and got dressed and rode to the marathon with my friend Terri.  When the marathon started I thought oh my gosh how am I going to do this.  So at mile marker 1 I turned on my zen put my head phones on and just took off walking and didn't stop.  When I got to about mile marker 6 I was getting pretty warn out and was not sure how much longer I could go.  Well it just so happens I was starting to keep pace with another walker named Lisa and we paired up and just started talking and walking together.  With that assistance I was able to keep my mind on other things and able to finsh that marathon.  Here are some pictures from my marathon.

Flashback: My birthday present 9-2-2010

This is another flashback post of trying to catch up, I really hope I can get better at this blogging thing. So for my birthday I wanted of course another electronic device, and I picked a Kindle. So after a long talk with my hubby about why I wanted this he surprised me and ordered it for me. So after a LOOOONNNNGGGG WAIT it finally came in. But of course it was hidden on me so here is how it went down. I came home and after a long day of work hubby says I really think we need to clean the bed sheets so pull them off and wash them. Of course I was mad cause after working all day I didn't want to come home and do laundry.  So this is how that night went........

These shoes where made for walking

Well after a lunch conversation with a friend I decided that I wanted to walk a half marathon. That is 13.1 miles in case you didn't know. I know pretty crazy. Well little did I know how much was involved in getting ready for a marathon. You have to have certain shoes, socks, sports bra, and even clothes. Do you know what else it takes, TRAINING. Can you believe that you have to train to be able to walk 13.1 miles. Oh boy what did I get myself into. Well I signed up for it and I went in head first. So here is a picture of my shoes that I got and a couple training pictures.

Holiday World 8-8-2010 Part One

OH MY GOSH I ALMOST FORGOT TO POST OUR END OF THE SUMMER TRIP!!!!!!!!

Well a friend of mine decided that maybe we should take the kids to Holiday World in Santa Clause Indiana to celebrate summer coming to an end. So we woke up early all my kids knew was that we where going somewhere fun. So for 3 hours in the car and no clue where we were going this is what kind of pictures you get.
