Soooo Excited

Today my sister is coming to visit me in my new town in Chicago. I am so ready for her to get here. It has been a long time since I have been able to spend a whole weekend with her without the kids taking her from me. Oh how she loves her niece and nephew and love her to the moon and back. She is an awesome Aunt to them and they take advantage of that. She is the best sister that I could ever ask for she can tell me like it is and gets away with it. We can fight and then 5 minutes later its like nothing has ever happened. Having her as my twin has made me blessed with a friend for life. So I will share with you some of my favorite pictures of us.

"WE DID IT" Room 1

We got 1 room fully unpacked and put away. It is so nice that after 3 weeks these things are finally coming together. I really feel like we are going to make this our home. So I figured I could share some pictures of the completed room so that all you anxious people can at least see where I spend most of my time during the day right now.

From the entrance of the kitchen this is to the right of you.

From when you walk in to the kitchen this is on the left.

When we moved in we realized that the house did not have a pantry so we put one together.

A different look of the pantry, What do you think?

When you walk out of the kitchen this is what you see, these were made for the window at the last house but they fit pretty good right here.
So that is the first completed room, I hope you enjoyed. I look forward to being able to post more pictures of completed rooms.

Father's Day

Well I made through Father's day and it had a little bit of a rough start but none the less I made it through. Due to the fact that the kids are still in Florida on the farm with the grandparents they mailed daddy his Father's day gifts. So I took a couple pictures of them to share with you all my readers. I know not a long post but I am not sure what else to type.

Fathers day 2011

So this was the third fathers day with out my dad here to celebrate with. Even though it would of been more than likely just a phone call to him it was still hard knowing I could not call him. But on to a lighter note the kids mailed Forrest his Father's day cards since they are still down in Florida on the Farm with Granny and Grandpa Dominy. So Forrest and I spent the day just getting the house together and getting ready for the kids to come home. It is so hard living with all of these boxes and not knowing where to put all this stuff. But we have an exciting week coming up on us my sister is coming to visit which I am really looking forward to.

5 Years ago today

WOW! I can not believe it has already been five years since not only my Best Friend got married but that I had the best date to go to this wedding ever that I could of had and if there is any day that I could go back to. Would be that day and just dance with my daddy. I am so happy for my best friend that she is happily married with 4 of the most beautiful godchildren that I could have. I wish these two an awesome life full of happiness and excitement, and know that when their is bad times just to hold on to each other and it will get them through.

A sign

This topic has been on my mind for a few days and I am guessing with father's day just around the corner and also the day of my fathers death creeping up it has not made it any better. I have been reading blogs lately and I just finished reading a book. Each of these blogs and this book talk about how their loved ones have sent them signs that even though they are still gone they are still around spiritually I guess you woudl call it. So every night I have gone to bed praying that God would allow my daddy to send me a sign that he is watching over me. I am pretty sure that I have not gotten that sign yet. I am trying to be patient but I just can't seem to stop letting this topic creep back in my thoughts. I just wat to know that my dad even though he is not on this earth anymore is still watching over me and is still with me. Is that to much to ask? I am not sure. I just need to feel comfortable right now. i am feeling so alone and I want just the simplest sign to know that I am going to be okay. I know that sounds very selfish and you know what that is OK with me right now. Well now i feel better that I got that off my chest.

A day for new things

So yesterday the Hubby and I decided that we would venture downtown to meet up with a friend, but to get there we took the Metra. Which is a train the runs downtown and it would only cost 7.00 a person for the whole weekend. So we parked the truck at a Metra station and hoped aboard the train for an hour ride downtown. It was a very neat experience. One that I am sure Birdie and Boogie will really enjoy when they come home from being on vacation in Florida. So we met up with my friend Nancy and walked around and took a couple buses to a farmers market and then to the Navy Pier which was very cool. Another thing I am sure the kids will love when they come here. So in a nutshell it was a great Saturday with the hubby and just experiences new things together.

Update

Well it has been a long while since I have blogged so I figured I would get back into it since we are starting a new adventure in our lives. But of course first you must have an update on what is going on in order for us to have this new adventure. Well back in Feb. the hubby took a job that would allow him to be home everyday but we of course had to move in order to make that happen. So while he lived in the new location the kids and I stayed in Nashville so that they could finish out their school year with their friends. So fast forward to now the kids are out of school and enjoying a month on the farm with their Granny and Grandpa while daddy and I settle into the new house in the WINDY CITY yep a suburb of Illinois. We are about 42 miles from Chicago so we are able to drive down for the day or take the train but are far enough out that we are not in the hustle and bustle of all that mess. We picked a cute little townhome to start our adventure off with that has a fantastic view out the back of the forest. So when you are in the basement and looking out the back door you feel like you are on vacation. We are currently surrounded by boxes and need to figure out where everything has to go. Here are a few of the before pictures after we started moving stuff in and then later as the rooms become complete I will show you the after pictures.

The U-Haul outside of our new house it was only 26feet long.
